They did a great job. I had another guy come out to do a 30ft gravel driveway. I realized that I need an additional 200ft. That company charged me $4,000 to do 30ft, Black Rock did 200ft for only a $1,000 more. Great people to work with. That got me in the very next day I called and was done in 5 hours. The work looked way better than the other company's work. Great Job!!!

Black Rock Paving started in Belleville and has been laying asphalt across Southeast Michigan since 2003. We are a third-generation paving family, which means the part most contractors rush, the base under the surface, is the part we grew up taking seriously.
Show up when we say we will. Walk the property. Spec the base and drainage for how the ground actually behaves through a Michigan winter. Lay the hot mix right, finish the edges by hand, and leave the place cleaner than we found it. The same crew runs your job from the quote to the last pass, with no subcontractors handed the keys.
That is the whole approach. It is also why so much of our work comes from a neighbor pointing down the street.

After finding a couple of minor issues in the spring, Zach and a new experienced crew came back and made it better than it was to begin with. We are satisfied with the final result, except that the edges are quite jagged and not very straight. However, we are just happy that they came back and did a nice job fixing our main concerns.
